FinanHelp — About Us
About FinanHelp

Tools built by people who read the fine print — not a licensed advisory firm.

We're a small, independent team with a background in software engineering, not in licensed financial advice. We built FinanHelp because most calculators we found online hid their assumptions behind a single, unexplained number — so we built our own, and we're upfront about what we are and aren't.

Why we built this

It started as a side project: a mortgage amortization tool that showed every payment instead of just a monthly total. As we added a settlement calculator, a currency converter, a refinancing comparison, and a savings projector, FinanHelp became a small toolkit — free to use, with no account required, built to the same standard across every tool.

What we are

A calculator toolkit, built with care

  • An independent team with a software engineering background
  • Five free calculators using one consistent, transparent method
  • A place to run your own numbers before talking to a lender or bank
  • Upfront that we may refer you to partner companies, and may be paid for it
What we are not

Not a bank, lender, or advisory firm

  • Not a bank, lender, or credit provider
  • Not a licensed financial advisor and we don't give personalized financial advice
  • Not a substitute for confirming final terms with your lender or bank
  • Not a source of guaranteed or certified figures — always estimates

How FinanHelp actually makes money

We think this is worth explaining plainly rather than leaving it to a footnote. Here's the honest version of how the site works, end to end.

01

The calculators are free, for everyone

You can use every tool on the site — mortgage, settlement, currency, refinancing, savings — without paying anything or creating an account.

02

If you reach out, we read it ourselves

Messages sent through our contact form go to our own inbox first. We're not a call center — a real person on our small team reads and replies.

03

Sometimes, we introduce you to a partner

If your question is better handled by a lender, broker, or other specialized company than by us, we may put you in touch with one — but only with your consent, and only after telling you that's what's happening.

04

That referral is sometimes paid

When we introduce you to a partner and it leads to a relationship with them, that partner may pay us a referral fee. This never changes what you pay them, and it's the same disclosure we make on our contact form and privacy policy.

In short: the calculators cost you nothing and owe you nothing in return. Any referral to a partner company is disclosed before it happens, requires your consent, and is separate from the free tools themselves.
Show the math

No hidden assumptions

Every calculator exposes the full payment-by-payment schedule, not a single collapsed number — and every figure is exportable to CSV.

Say what we are

No borrowed credentials

We don't claim to be advisors, analysts, or a licensed firm. We're engineers who build careful tools — nothing more, nothing less.

Disclose the incentive

No silent referrals

If money changes hands because of an introduction we made, you'll know about it before your details are shared — every time.
